Steps to Withdraw an Unemployment Insurance Claim:
  1. Access and Complete the Withdrawal Form:
  • Log in to your NEworks account, open Unemployment Services, and select "Request Withdraw of Claim."
  • Download or print the form. Follow the instructions.
  • Or create your own document that includes:
      • Your name
      • Your social security number
      • A statement requesting to withdraw the claim and the reason why
      • Your signature
  1. Submit the Completed Form:
    • Upload the signed form to your NEworks account.
    • OR fax it to 402-458-2595,
    • OR mail it to:

  2. Eligibility Requirements:
    • Examples of when you may withdraw your claim:
      • The claim is not yet completed, and no payment has been made.
      • Separation issues haven’t been adjudicated, unless:
        • You told NDOL about withdrawing within four days before requesting, or
        • You have a Combined Wage Claim and wish to file in another state.
      • It’s been less than 20 days since the monetary determination was mailed.
Note: All withdrawal requests are subject to approval based on the above requirements.
