WIOA Overview
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program designed to connect employers with skilled workers. The program helps job seekers find jobs, education, training, and support services. WIOA works to improve job opportunities for everyone, including youth and people facing employment challenges. It aims to help people get good jobs and assist employers in hiring and keeping skilled workers.

Nebraska has three local workforce development areas:
Greater Lincoln which serves Lancaster and Saunders Counties
Greater Omaha which serves Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington Counties
Greater Nebraskawhich serves the remaining 88 counties in Nebraska
