Release Date: 10/11/2019

Commissioner of Labor John H. Albin is one of 20 newly elected members of the Board of Directors for the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA).  Albin represents Region 7, comprised of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.

NASWA is the national organization representing all 50 state workforce agencies, D.C. and U.S. territories. These agencies deliver training, employment, career, and business services, in addition to administering the unemployment insurance, veteran reemployment, and labor market information programs. NASWA provides policy expertise, shares promising state practices, and promotes state innovation and leadership in workforce development.

“The Nebraska Department of Labor has been active in NASWA for a number of years and I look forward to taking on this new role within the organization,” Albin said.

Incoming Board members assumed their respective posts upon election at the NASWA Annual Workforce Summit held in September in Boston. All Board of Directors positions serve a one-year term.
