The Nebraska Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) was first established in compliance with the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA) and continues under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA), which was signed into law July 22, 2014 and became effective July 1, 2015. The ETPL is a list of training providers who qualify to receive WIOA funding through Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) for approved programs of study. (An ITA is a funding account used by adults and dislocated workers in need of training to enhance their job readiness or career pathways.) To be listed on the ETPL, a training provider’s program must be evaluated and approved by the Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL). WIOA emphasizes informed customer choice, job-driven training, training provider performance, and continuous improvement. The quality and selection of training providers and programs is vital to achieving these core principles.
Nebraskas Eligible Training Provider List is accessible online at NEworks under the Education Services menu, look for ETPL Approved Programs.
To assist training providers who are interested in being included on the ETPL, NDOL has prepared a Training Provider Guide. The guide includes information about the ETPL as well as the Eligible Training Provider Application, which is also available as a separate document in Word format. Links to both documents can be found below. If you have questions about the ETPL, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
