Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program The WOTC Program is designed to help individuals to overcome barriers to gainful employment. This program encourages employers in the private sector to hire job seekers from one of the target groups. The categories of eligible workers under the WOTC program include: Qualified IV-A (AFDC/TANF) Recipients Qualified Veterans who are Food Stamps recipients and certain Disabled Veterans Qualified Ex-Felons Designated Community Residents Vocational Rehabilitation Referrals or Ticket-to-Work Participants Qualified Food Stamp Recipients who are 18 to 39 years of age. Qualified SSI Recipients Long Term Family Assistance Recipients The criteria for these target groups are listed in detail elsewhere on this website.

New Work Search Log
Effective March 15: If you receive unemployment benefits and are required to complete a work search log, you may log your work search contacts as soon as you make them, before you file your weekly claim. You can no longer record your contacts AFTER you complete your weekly claim for benefits.
